COVID-19 SAFEGUARDS

Our dental office's safety precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic.

At Valhalla Dental, we have always made patient safety a top priority by adhering to the sanitation and infection control guidelines put forth by the ADA (American Dental Association) and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration). 

During these trying times, our team is implementing the following guidelines to prevent the spread of the coronavirus:

  • To maintain social distancing guidelines and infection control, we will reduce the number of patients in the practice daily.
     

  • We ask that you call to reschedule your appointment if you feel sick or have exhibited COVID-19 symptoms.
     

  • We ask that you come alone to your appointment. If you require an escort, we ask that they remain in their vehicle to reduce the number of people in the office.
     

  • Please wear a mask in common areas within the office area when you enter and leave.
     

  • If other patients are present, follow social distancing guidelines, meaning that a distance of six feet must be maintained.
     

  • Contact us by phone once you arrive at the office, and we will alert you when it’s time to come in.
     

  • We will be taking your temperature upon arrival for your appointment.  Anyone with a temperature over 100.3 F will be asked to reschedule.
     

  • We will provide an antimicrobial mouthwash for you to rinse with prior to beginning procedures with your doctor.
     

  • Our staff will be wearing protective equipment such as gloves, masks, safety glasses, and gowns for everyone's safety.
     

  • Our staff will disinfect common areas of the dental office between each patient with Hypoclorous Acid. This will include welcome areas, restrooms, chairs, and consulting rooms.
     

  • We have removed magazines and toys from the office for your safety.
     

  • The front office staff will wear masks to protect patients.

Alongside our new set of guidelines, our facility has undergone various structural changes for everyone's safety: 

Installation of a Central Air Purifier with UV Light

The central air purifiers will remove air pollutants, smoke, mold, bacteria, and viruses from the air that circulates through the office. 
 

We are using the H13 HEPA filter (air scrubbers). Under testing conditions, it has been seen to remove 99.97% of particles in the air that are as small as 0.1 microns.

Installation of Germ Guardian Air Purifiers with UV Light

Our office is equipped with four air purifiers, one in each treatment room, in order to remove aerosol particles that may be created during treatment.

Installation of Glass Doors

Glass doors have been installed in all of our treatment rooms in order to provide better isolation of the aerosol particles. 

Alongside the aforementioned precautions, our rooms are fogged with hypoclorous acid after every consultation.
